Punjabi Prison Match Just Announced For No Mercy

Through his translator Ranjin Singh, former champion The Great Khali has exercised his rematch clause for the World Heavyweight Championship, and the match has been made by General Manager Theodore Long a Punjabi Prison Match at No Mercy on Sunday, Oct. 7.

The Punjab Giant will look to rebound from his defeat in the Triple Threat Match at Unforgiven, a match which saw Batistas odyssey to the top of the SmackDown mountain finally capped with gold. But now Batista faces his first major test since claiming the title, from the more than 7-foot monster Khali in one of the most brutal matches in WWE history.

Will Batistas reign as champion be short-lived, or will The Animal be able to defeat The Great Khali in the confines of the bamboo-surrounded ring? The bigger question is, can the Punjabi Prison contain the hatred between Khali and Batista?

Actor highlights aboriginal roles in film

One of Saskatchewan's most talented and well-known actors kicked off the two-week long Aboriginal Arts and Music festival this week. Gordon Tootoosis, who has worked alongside actors such as Brad Pitt, Charlton Heston and Charlize Theron, was part of the in-school tour. He spoke to an eager group of students at St. Mary High School on Monday morning. Tootoosis has worked on movie productions in the United States and Europe as well as Canada. He is best known in Canada for his television role as Albert Golo in North of 60. He was born on the Poundmaker First Nation and is now based in Saskatoon. Of course when the floor opened to questions, the first, from a female student, was what it was like to work with Brad Pitt. Pitt, said Tootoosis, is very ordinary and friendly. He is also very athletic and disciplined.

The big 10

One of the joys of TV is the way it can turn no-name and underappreciated actors into stars; every season presents some breakthrough performances. Here's a look at 10 people to watch in this year's network shows -- some of whom are already getting talked about, and others whom we predict will emerge from under the radar.

Zachary Levi

Where you'll find him: Playing the title role in Chuck, about a shy computer geek (he prefers "nerd") who gets mixed up in espionage when he accidentally downloads hundreds of government secrets into his head

Where you may have seen him: On the ABC sitcom Less Than Perfect, he played Kipp, a non-nerdy conniver who schemed to mess up heroine Claudia's career. He was sort of like Marc on Ugly Betty, only less ostentatiously dressed -- and straight.
