Writer-director Judd Apatow ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin") strikes again with one of the summer's funniest and smartest comedies. Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl star in the story of a slacker forced to grow up and become a man after his drunken one-night stand with a career-minded woman leaves her pregnant. Evening The filmmakers rounded up a remarkable cast for this yawner of a chick flick, including Vanessa Redgrave, Glenn Close, Meryl Streep, Claire Danes, Toni Collette and Natasha Richardson. Based on Susan Minot's novel, the weepy romantic drama flits back and forth in time as a woman on her deathbed (Redgrave) relates to her daughters (Collette and Richardson) the story of a weekend 50 years earlier when she met the love of her life. Danes plays Redgrave's character in her youth.
CBS Fall Television Programming Looks Good Again
It looks like another great season of programming on KOTV and CBS. The station has been atop the ratings and experts feel good about the new shows that are premiering. Mondays will be huge for comedy. Four straight shows that have won acclaim will begin at 7 p.m. Tulsa time. "How I Met Your Mother" kicks things off at 7 p.m. Alyson Hannigan has been around for seemingly ever with performances in CBS shows "Touched by an Angel" and "Picket Fences" along with the "American Pie" movie series. She is back as Lily and she is still with Marshall, played by Jason Segel. He has also been on other CBS shows including "CSI". Along with Ted (Josh Radnor), Robin (Cobie Smulders), and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a group is constantly in precarious situations. If you have not seen it before, Ted is in the future and telling his children how he met their mother.
Knight amused by reports linking him with co-star's mother
London, Sep 28 (IANS) Gay actor T.R. Knight, who features in the hit TV show 'Grey's Anatomy', was amused when he heard reports that he went on a double-date with his co-star Katherine Heigl and her fiance Josh Kelly because his supposed boyfriend was Heigl's mother. Knight announced he was gay last year after a fight with co-stars Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey. He says he is single, reports contactmusic.com. He said: 'Recently Kate and her fiance Josh Kelley and me and her mom went out to dinner, and it was reported that it was with me and my new boyfriend. But that was her mom. So, I guess I'm dating Katherine's mom right now.' .
Katherine Heigl to turn bestseller into a film
Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl and her mother are set to turn Jaqueline Sheehan's bestseller Lost & Found into a new movie after asking the author for the film rights. The Emmy Award winner read the book on a recent vacation and optioned it for her production company Abishag, according to Daily Variety. The book follows the fortunes of a distraught widow who takes a job in a remote Maine animal hospital. .
Heigl's man ready to wed
It sounds like Katherine Heigl won't have to worry about her fiance, musician Josh Kelley, getting cold feet before their wedding. "I always thought I'd be scared, but I'm ready," Kelley told People mag about his upcoming nuptials. "I'm 27, and I feel I've done more than most people will do in a lifetime. I'm ready to settle down, start a family and build my Kelley empire." Kelley continued to gush about his girl. "She's so great," he said.
