| Shoppers spot good deals
RALEIGH -- Retailers say the day after Christmas is becoming one of their busiest times of the year -- even ranking up there with Black Friday and the Saturday before Christmas. The biggest reason is because of the discounts. Several stores in the Triangle are reducing their prices Tuesday and shoppers who took advantage of the deals say it was worth it. Sweaters, shoes and jewelry -- no matter where you turn, you're bound to spot a deal. "Ornaments, purses, clothes, everything's on sale," said Katie Medlin, a teenager who was out shopping with her mom, Pam Medlin. The Medlins shopped at Hudson Belk for the department store's after Christmas "door-buster" sale. Its not too bad right now. Everybody has been very friendly this morning, said Pam Medlin. .

Jordan plans Christmas feast
It's set to be a culinary treat chez Katie Price and Peter Andre this Christmas - glamour model Jordan has revealed she's planning to cook a three-bird feast. She told New magazine: "I'm cooking a bird, in a bird, in a bird. Chicken inside duck inside turkey. I did it last year." "When I'm in the kitchen I put whatever I want in the pot and however it turns out, that's how you eat it." She also revealed that she shares cookery duties with her husband Peter: "We're both good in the kitchen. I do a much better roast lamb than Peter." "His is healthier but mine tastes better. Lemar comes to Virgin's rescue
SOUL sensation Lemar will tonight replace Katie Price and Peter Andre as a last minute VIP guest at Virgin Mobile's Christmas party. Katie, formerly known as Jordan, and her pop star husband Peter Andre were booked for the festive bash at Club Ice in Westbury, but cancelled on Tuesday because they want to take things easier now she's expecting her third child. After some frantic calls, Brit Award winner Lemar, who shot to fame as a contestant in reality television show Fame Academy, came to the rescue and will perform a selection of his hit songs for the crowd of over 1,000 guests. Party organiser Abi Signorelli, said: "We were really looking forward to having Peter and Katie there, but I totally understand their reasons for cancelling. "Having said that we were overwhelmed to get Lemar at such short notice and are very excited that he could make it.
'FERTILE' PRICE SURPRISED BY PREGNANCY
British model KATIE PRICE is stunned to find herself pregnant for a third time, because she and husband PETER ANDRE have been too busy to conceive. Price - formerly known as JORDAN - yesterday (05DEC06) announced she is expecting her second child with Andre. She already has two sons, four-year-old HARVEY from her relationship with soccer star DWIGHT YORKE, and 18-month-old JUNIOR, with Andre. But Price is amazed she's been able to conceive, because the couple has been too busy recording, releasing and promoting a new charity album of love songs to have sex. Will Smith stars in Gabriele Muccino's new film
Italian filmmaker Gabriele Muccino makes his English-language Hollywood debut with The Pursuit of Happyness, starring Will Smith. In fact it was Oscar-nominated Smith who handpicked Muccino for the job after he was introduced to him by his Hitch co-star Eva Mendes, who had starred in The Last Kiss, the English-language remake of Muccino's L'Ultimo Bacio.
The Pursuit of Happyness is the true story of Chris Gardner (Smith), a down on his luck father who accepts an unpaid intern position at a prestigious stock brokerage firm in hopes of giving his five-year-old son (Smith's real son, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith) a better life. Despite having to spend nights in a homeless shelter with his son, Chris never falters in his determination to do everything in his power to make sure his son knows how much he's loved.
