Kylie: An Inspiration For Teenagers

Kylie Minogue has been voted the most inspirational celebrity of 2006 by young readers of a magazine. The pop princess topped the poll in Sugar magazine after beating breast cancer and returning to the stage for her Showgirl tour. Singer Christina Aguilera was second and actress Hilary Duff came third.

Lily Allen was the highest-placed British star at number four.

Sugar magazine editor Annabel Brog said: "Kylie couldn't be any more inspirational. She's friendly, gorgeous, talented, and this year she's shown just how strong she is too."

There was no place for last year's winner Sienna Miller or runner-up Kerry Katona.

Kylie top role model for teenagers

Kylie Minogue has been voted the most inspirational celebrity of 2006 by teenage girls.

The Aussie pop princess topped the poll in Sugar magazine after beating breast cancer and returning to the stage for her Showgirl tour.

"She's a great role model and has inspired cancer patients to be strong and brave," said one 14-year-old reader.

Sugar editor Annabel Brog said: "Kylie couldn't be any more inspirational. She's friendly, gorgeous, talented - and this year she's shown just how strong she is too."

Singer Christina Aguilera was second, followed by actress Hilary Duff.

Lily Allen was the highest-placed British star at number four.

Fifth was Charlotte Church, who said: "I'm really chuffed to be nominated."

American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson was sixth while Britney Spears shot up to seventh place after dumping husband Kevin Federline.

Kylie Minogue Jets Home To Confront 'Unfaithful' Martinez

Kylie Minogue has abruptly left Australia to rush back to Paris, France, amid claims boyfriend Olivier Martinez has been unfaithful.

The Spinning Around star had planned to spend her first Christmas since winning her breast cancer battle with her family, but has instead flown back to Europe less than 12 hours after completing the final performance of her Australian tour.

A spokeswoman for the company promoting Minogue's tour attributed the sudden dash to her upcoming New Year's Eve (31Dec06) show at London's Wembley Arena, telling Sydney's Daily Telegraph her schedule had moved forward after the concert was announced.

Minogue's sister, Dannii said late last week (ends17Dec06) that the family had planned on spending the holidays together in their hometown of Melbourne, saying, "We know how lucky we are to be together this Christmas."

Media reports claim Olivier has been romancing 24-year-old model Sarai Givati after the two were photographed together, with the model reportedly saying that they had spent "three wonderful days and nights together".

KYLIE MINOGUE seemed to have her hand firmly on boyfriend Olivier Martinez yesterday after he had been linked with a young model. She cancelled a family celebration in Australia to jet to France for a heart-to-heart with 40-year-old actor Martinez.

And, as they strolled through Paris, she clung tightly to his arm.

Kylie, 38, endured a 22-hour flight, despite still recovering from breast cancer, to see Martinez after he was pictured with 24-year-old Israeli model Sarai Givati. Kylie had intended to spend Christmas at home in Melbourne but left for Paris just 12 hours after completing the final concert of her Australian tour.

It has been widely reported that Martinez has been showing Miss Givati around Paris. She admitted that they had spent 'three wonderful days and nights together'.

Kylie Skips Glasto

(Ananova) Kylie Minogue will not be playing Glastonbury. Kylie was hotly tipped to headline next year's festival after she was forced to pull out of the event in 2005, due to being diagnosed with breast cancer.
